Doctors Hospital Names Dr. John Swisher 2009 Physician of the Year

Sarasota, FL (May 21, 2009) - The employees and volunteers at Doctors Hospital of Sarasota voted Pulmonologist John W. Swisher, MD, the 2009 Physician of the Year. Dr. Swisher has been instrumental in developing the Southwest Pulmonary Hypertension Center at Doctors Hospital. One Doctors Hospital employee described Dr. Swisher as, “a consummate professional, compassionate practitioner and an exceptional person.”

The top ten nominees were Doctors Brian Angsten, Michael Barron, Christopher Brukoff, Debra Federer, Erich Gaertner, Richard Golub, David Reichel, Michael Schandorf, Scott Stevens, and Thomas Sweeney.
